Settings
A map of every settings screen, what it decides, and where the detail lives. Use it to find the switch you are looking for rather than as something to read through. The settings sidebar groups the screens into the same sections used here: Organization, Account, Storefront, Features, Data, and Developers.
Organization
Your organization's profile, at /settings/general.
- Name is what your team sees in the sidebar and the organization switcher. Rename it whenever you like; nothing else depends on it.
- Logo appears next to the name in the sidebar and the switcher. Any image up to 2 MB.
- Storefront pages address is shown here but cannot be changed: your review, loyalty and wishlist pages are served under it, and links you have already shared depend on it.
- Time zone is more consequential than it looks. It decides which day an order falls on in your reports, when a birthday counts, when monthly allowances reset, and when the overnight loyalty jobs run. The screen shows the current local time in the zone you have picked, so you can tell you picked the right one. Changing it moves every future birthday, allowance and expiry onto the new clock; anything already sent stays as it was. Set it when you start and leave it alone.
If you belong to more than one organization, the switcher at the top of the sidebar moves you between them, and its Create organization entry starts a fresh one.
Members
Everyone who can sign in to your organization, with the role each one holds. Owners can change a role from the actions menu on a row; members can read the list but not change it. See Members and roles.
Billing
Your plan, your payment details, and what you have used this period against what the plan allows. See Billing and Plans and limits.
Profile
How you appear to your team, at /settings/profile. This is about you, not your
organization.
- Name is shown in the members list, the audit trail, and the user menu at the foot of the sidebar.
- Avatar appears next to your name in those same places. Any image up to 2 MB.
- Email is the address you sign in with, so changing it takes two confirmations: an approval link goes to your current address first, and once you approve it there, a confirmation link goes to the new address. Nothing changes until both links are clicked. If you didn't ask for a change, ignore the email and your address stays the same.
Theme
Whether Cascade is light or dark, in the user menu at the foot of the sidebar under Theme. There are three choices:
- System (the default) follows your computer's appearance setting, so Cascade turns dark when your machine does, including part way through the day if your machine is set to switch at sunset.
- Light and Dark ignore your computer and hold Cascade to the one you picked.
The choice is saved in the browser you made it in, not on your account, so it applies to everyone using that browser profile and needs setting again on another machine.
Security
Your own login, not your organization's settings. Found at /settings/security.
- Change password, which signs out every other device.
- Two-factor authentication, with an authenticator app and a set of backup codes. Copy the codes somewhere that is not the machine you authenticate on.
- Connected accounts, for signing in through another provider.
See Signing in for how the sign-in screen uses these.
SSO is available on the Enterprise plan. See Plans and limits.
Sites
Your storefronts: name, slug, base URL, logo, icon and colors. Also where your plan usage is shown, against what your plan allows. See Sites.
Integrations
Your connected stores, and the per-store settings for what happens in Cascade when a product, customer or order is deleted in the store. See Connecting Shopify.
Email templates
Every email Cascade sends is a template you can edit and preview against sample data: review requests, loyalty member emails, wishlist alerts. Branding comes from the site the email belongs to. See Email templates.
Widget appearance
The theme your storefront widgets render with: colors, corner radius, custom CSS, and the version history of past themes. See Storefront widgets.
Reviews
Automatic publishing and its rating threshold, the review questions asked beside the star rating, content screening (blocked words, profanity, links), the AI classifier, questions and answers, instant answers, review summaries, notifications, and whether reviews are deleted along with their product or customer. See Reviews.
Loyalty
Which member emails go out: welcome, points earned, a claimed reward confirmation, a new reward, and warnings before points or a reward expire. Each is a switch, and the wording is in the email templates. Customers who opted out of marketing email are skipped either way. See Emails in the loyalty guide for what each one sends.
Wishlists
Whether a customer can keep several lists or everything goes on one, whether lists can be shared publicly and whether shared lists show prices, whether visitors can mark items as purchased, one-click saves, the name given to the automatic list, and the three alert emails (back in stock, price drop, and the smallest drop worth sending one for). See Wishlists.
Imports and exports
Jobs, progress, problem rows and download links. See Imports and exports.
API keys
Create and revoke secret and publishable keys, set their permissions, expiry and IP allowlist, and rotate one that has leaked. The widget signing secret lives in a card below the keys, with its own rotate button.
See Authentication for what each kind of key is for, and Storefront widgets for what the signing secret does.
Webhooks
Register an endpoint, choose its events, and read the delivery history including what failed and why. See Webhooks.
